The Indians competed in
The Afternoon session had
three first place winners. Max German
pinned his first opponent then had two hard fought wins including a 4-2
overtime victory and a very exciting 4-3 decision win earning German a Gold medal . Nicholas Crowle outclassed his opponents winning his first match by
technical fall and pinning his next two.
Crowle also took a Gold. Luke Mario easily pinned two of his opponents
and took a Gold Medal. Jack Luth had two first period pins and suffered one loss by
decision and took home a Silver medal. Jake
Mario faced three tough opponents and won two matches by decision and suffered
a close 4-2 loss is his final match. Mario took a Silver medal. Tyler Bishop
lost his first match 4-2 but came back to pin his second opponent. Bishop took home a Silver medal for the day.
Patrick Flynn won his first match by technical fall, pinned his second opponent
then suffered one loss. Flynn also took a Silver for the day.
AJ Linet had one win for the day and suffered
two losses. Linet took home a Bronze medal. CJ Luth, Andrew Sileo, Tyler Sullivan and Ryan Eccleston
also competed in the tournament and all did an outstanding job representing the
Milford Indians Wrestling Club.

Seven wrestlers competed
in
Patrick Flynn was the only
Indian wrestler to take a Gold medal in the afternoon. Flynn had two pins and a decision. A.J. Linet had two
pins and suffered one loss and earned himself Silver. Tyler Bishop, Max German
and Cameron Luth each took home a Bronze medal.

17 wrestlers competed in
the Middletown Novice Tournament for one of the biggest showing of Indian
wrestlers in years. Cameron Luth and A.J. Linet competing in
the afternoon session both took first place. Luth had
nice single leg takedown in his first match and pinned his opponent with a half
Nelson. Both Luth
and Linet had two pins each. Tyler Sullivan also took first place winning
his first match 4-0
and pinning his second opponent. C.J. Luth, Seamus Noel, Andrew Sileo
and Patrick Flynn also competing in the afternoon session all took 2nd
place. Luth
won his first match 14-4, pinned his second opponent and lost by decision in
his final match. Sileo
came out fast and strong and pinned his first two opponents before losing a
very close 7-5 decision in the final match. Noel lost his first match but came
back strong with a 10-2 decision for his second match. Flynn wrestled hard to earn himself two
decisions and suffered one loss.
Dante Esposito also competing in the afternoon
wrestled hard and took a second place medal.
Michael Ross and Brother Eric Ross - each competed in their first
wrestling tournament. The Ross brothers
each posted one win by decision and took 3rd place Medals. Joey DellaMonica, Sean Clark, Tyler Ortiz, Maarith
Vomra and Nick Holt also competed in their first
wrestling tournament.
Milford Indians take 4 Gold and 2 Silver at
the Berlin Wrestling Tournament
The Milford Indians had
a great day of wrestling at the Berlin Tournament. Gino Esposito and Ryan Luth led the morning session. Esposito won two of his three matches winning
his first by decision and pinning his second opponent with a Double Grape Vine.
Esposito lost a close decision in his third match and took a
silver for the day. Luth pinned his first opponent with a Half Nelson in the
second period then decisioned his next two opponents
and took first place. William Kelly
faced two opponents pinning his first opponent early in the first period. Kelly lost a 6-3 decision in his second match
and took a silver for the day.
Nicolas Crowle led off the second half of the day with two quick
pins and a Technical Fall to earn himself first place. Clay Callahan continued his winning streak
and pinned all three of his opponents and also took a Gold Medal. Tyler Bishop finished off the afternoon by
earning a 5-0 decision in his first match and pinned his next two
opponents. Bishop’s first place win gave
the Indians 4 Gold’s for the day.
The Milford Indians wrestled at one of the states
most competitive tournaments this past weekend in

won his first match by Technical Fall. A.J. Linet competed in his first wrestling tournament and
lost his first match by only one point. Linet
showed lots of heart after facing some of the toughest wrestlers in the
tournament. Jonathon Buzelle also competed in the
afternoon session. Tyler Bishop shut out his first opponent 12-0 scoring
a Technical Fall. Bishop would then have his toughest match of the day

Local wrestlers compete in
tournaments on December 30th
The Milford Indians wrestled in two state
tournaments this past weekend, The Coventry Novice and Bristol
Tournaments. Five wrestlers competed in
The Coventry Tournament was led off by Ryan Luth. Ryan competed in the morning session winning all four
of his matches in which he used a nice cradle to pin his final opponent to end
the day with a 1 st place Gold
Medal. Joseph Buzelle started off the afternoon
session with his first pin of the season. Joe stayed focused and compiled two
more wins and one loss to end the day with a 2nd place Medal.
Jonathon Buzelle lost his first match but came back
and cradled up his second opponent for a pin and win and took a 2nd
place Medal. CJ Luth competed in his first
wrestling tournament and used his heart and lots of sweat to edge out his first
opponent with a 4-2 win. CJ also ended the day with a 2nd
place Medal. Jack Luth faced four tough
wrestlers in his bracket. Jack pinned two of his opponents with a vice like
Half Nelson and took a 3rd place Medal.
Six
Indian wrestlers also competed in the Bristol Tournament Liam Callahan
started the day off with a close loss but made up for time in his second match
with a .19 second pin to end the day with a 3 rd place finish.
Max German had a 7-3 win then suffered two losses including a close 2-0 defeat
to the champion in his weight class to end his day with a 3rd place
finish. Clay Callahan outclassed two of his opponents winning by decision
to give him a well deserved 1st place Gold Medal. William
Kelly used his pure power to make quick work of two of his opponents pinning
each easily. Kelly suffered one loss securing him a 2 nd
place finish. Nicholas Crowle faced two
wrestlers pinning his first and scoring a major decision on his second earning
him a 1st place finish. Lastly, Tyler Bishop faced three
opponents in his bracket. Bishop showed his first two opponents the meaning
of speed and defeated each with a 12-0 Technical Fall. Bishops final
match was one to remember. Bishop used his quickness, strength and smarts to
outwrestle his opponent who was not going to take losing lightly.
Bishop's hard fought battle earned him a 1st place finish. All
of the Indians wrestled hard and left their hearts on the mat in true Milford
